I think it`s normal, it`s nice foreveryday life, especially that you are so young.
If you want a luminizer then save it for the evening, and use All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer by STILA from SEPHORA.
If you want there`s a Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 again by STILA from SEPHORA.

i think you should use the normal solution, illuminator is only applied on key areas of your face, you dont want to look shiny all over..
